Crusaders 9U finish 2016 USSSA Diamond Challenge at Domtar Park with 1-1 record

The Crusaders 9u finished the 2016 USSSA Diamond Challenge at Domtar Park (Kingsport,TN) with a 1-1 record.  The 9U Crusaders (Major) competed in the 10U Open division for a second consecutive week. The tournament was modified due to weather cancellations of all games on Saturday (May 21).  Sundays games consisted of only a 2 game format. The 9u Crusaders started Sunday play with a 9AM game against Diamond Elite Black 10U (Bristol,TN).  The 9U Crusaders bats were able to jump out to an early lead and cruise to victory with a final score of 16-6.  The stage was set for an epic battle in the second game at 12:45PM against East Tennessee Select 9U (Major).  The 9U Crusaders and Select were close throughout with Select finalizing the win with a final score of 8-3.
