9U Crusaders complete epic comeback to win the 9U Major Stars and Stripes Tennessee State Tournament

The 9U Crusaders completed an epic comeback to rally and win the Stars and Stripes Tennessee State Championship (9U Major) at Frank Lorino Park in Morristown,TN.  After posting a 1-1 (Win over the Knoxville Stars (Knoxville,TN) 10-3, Loss to RBI Sox (Knoxville,TN) 11-7) record in pool play on Saturday,  the 9U Crusaders were poised, focused and determined to make it to the big stage and seal their first Tennessee State Championship win.

The 9U Crusaders defense and solid hitting lead the way in Game 1 of bracket play with a hard fought win over Knoxville Stars (Knoxville,TN) with the final score of 5-1.    This set the stage for the rematch/redemption opportunity against the RBI Sox (Knoxville,TN).

It was a back and forth game in which the  9U Crusaders found themselves down 4 runs going into the 6th inning to the RBI Sox (Knoxville,TN) and rallied with their bats and exceptional defense to complete the storybook comeback.  With this win, this makes the 9U Major Crusaders a Two State Champion with wins in Tennessee &  South Carolina.   Defense wins Championships!  Great job 9U Crusaders!
